As Strategy Supervisor, you will operate with a high degree of independence to turn big-picture vision into reality. You will be at the center of driving centralized strategy, performance reporting, and business planning.

Whether you are advising senior executives or collaborating with external partners, your insights will directly influence your agency's mission and broader, whole-of-government directions.


Specific Duties / Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes the delivery of a program of work. This may include elements of coordination, briefing, evaluation, research and clearly communicating with stakeholders.

  • Prepare a range of high quality written materials including advice and analysis on key projects or policy, strategic documents, reviews and reports, presentations and/or minutes

  • Provide visibility and strategic oversight of policy, legislative and regulatory change impacting the organization.

  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders including operational line areas to support strategic input and the development of strategic products.

  • Monitor, manage and deliver projects and assist others to deliver outcomes through the provision of guidance, quality assurance and technical expertise.

  • Support and understand key corporate processes such as secretariat processes and other budget/finance and coordination/administration activities.


Role Requirements/Qualifications

  • Strategic thinking skills, including ability to maintain and apply awareness of local and global developments, current affairs and policy development and evaluate environmental factors.

  • Ability to write and communicate verbally with a variety of audiences and to target communication effectively.

  • Ability to undertake research and analysis on multiple issues and provide expertise and advice to colleagues.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex information and provide advice and understand the provision of advice.

  • Strong ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across multiple business areas and to work collaboratively with key stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding or ability to acquire knowledge of the organization and its operational environment.

  • Experience in and knowledge of Cabinet and budget processes is highly desirable.
